I want to learn how to play the piano but all me gotz is me electronic keyboard and so i ask will learning how to play the keyboard now make it easier for me to learn the piano later on?
Yes, they are basicaly the same instrument. Just make sure you use a keyboard with 88, graded hammer action keys, touch sensitivity, and good piano samples.
in some ways yes, you will know chords and simple melodyies. however when you see piano music it is much more deep, harmonies , moving basses (bass clef used) and therefore will be hard to break habits you make while playing keyboard.
Yes it will, the keys are layed out in exactly the same way so the basic technique is the same. Keyboards don't (generally) have weighted keys or pedals, so you won't be able to learn how to use them, but you should be able to pick that up when you move onto piano.
They are played the same way. The notes are the same.
Going from a kewboard to a piano is much easier than vice versa. I started learning on a keyboard and got an upright piano after about three years. Keyboards are fine for rock and techno or whatever but for classical you need the the proper feel of a piano which gives variable volume and much more expression. Start with a keyboard and see if you still want to learn after a couple of years then get a piano; don't wast money on something you might not use.
