So I have two fire alarms. One is small, and comes out the wall with ease, and is battery powered. The other one is larger, and as far as I know is not battery powered. The reason I do not know, is the large one is making this horrendous beep, especially when I touch it. It's not the same kind of beep when the battery is low, but a low pitch VERY loud beep. sometimes it will beep once, and sometimes it will beep 10 times in a row.I cannot sleep through this and it is very headache inducing. I've called my superintendent, because i'm pretty sure it's a wiring issue. As I said, I've tried to look at it, but simply touching it lightly makes the noise again, and it's so loud it's bothering my neighbourMy question is what could be wrong with this stupid thing? Why is it beeping so sporadically? IS there a way I could fix it?
Yes. The fittings have to be copper, and you need a powered crimping tool.
So.. /1no1IsX I have been using it for years Bye Bye
YES!! The Fittings DO NOT need to be copper. Brass and Stainless steel will both work with copper.
