Question:

Programing thermostats with a condensing boiler?

I have a Buderus condensing boiler with the outdoor sensor. I was told with this setup that I don't need to program my room thermostats to any difference of more than 2-3 degrees. Typically I'd have it set to 70 day and 62 bedtime. I was told to set it at 67 night and that as long as the heating curve was set correctly the boiler would run more efficiently. Does this make sense?

Answer:

Hello J: Boilers run more efficiently if they don't have big temperature swings. It is best if you set it and let the system maintain a similar temperature.
