I was driving today to work in some snow. After switching highway lanes a couple times (which made me go over piles of snowat relatively high speed), the car started vibrating and humming, like if I was driving on really rough and hard terrain. And the service vehicle light came on. After a couple minutes though it became normal again. I stopped and restarted the car but after a few minutes the service light came on again but car seems to drive fine. Although after that I did get ABS light come on as well as trac off (traction control off?) And now the service light comes on everytime I start the car and switch to D. Although no ABS light anymore. Furthermore a couple minutes after I turned off the car I could hear some weird bubble sound like if air bubbles were coming underneath liquid to the top What‘s wrong with the car most likely? And what is that liquid sound? It‘s 2000 pontiac grand am 3.4L with 140k miles.
Go to a car wash with a can of GUNK. wash your engine compartment, and all your wheels and brakes. Also wash your front drive axles. Snow may have collected and hardened on any of these surfaces. ALSO, find an auto car wash that has high pressure spray to wash the underside of your car. Your converter may have collected an amount of snow on it that keeps it holding in too much heat. Since your ABS light is coming on, I would focus your attention to the acccumulation of snow and road debris on your brakes. The liquid noise might indicate that your cooling system requires attention and servicing. GM coolant only lasts for 50,000 miles safely before it begins to deteriorate and cause trouble. GOOD LUCK!!!
A manual gives you the option of what gear to put it in, it has a clutch. A C.V.T. is a Constant Velocity Trans. It is always in motion. It has variable speed based on rpm. No shifting, it does it for you.
permit me replace the H2 Hummer for it somewhat is brother, the Chevy Tahoe with AWD - good LT Snow tires and no chains. That way I also have a motor vehicle that has the load and the floor clearance to get during the 'heavy stuff' and that i do no longer ought to look on the Hummer. The Ford F-250 with snows could be my 2d selection. placed adequate weight interior the back and that they are going to crash by way of enormously much any form of climate. The final 3 alternatives i will bypass on. too plenty crap remarkable under the front of the motor vehicle to be useful in deep snow.
