My smoke detector has been going off every hour without fail!! I'm losing sleep I desperately need. I've tried removing the battery but I dont see any other way of disconnecting it. PLEASE someone tell me how to turn the blasted thing off!!

Turn the breaker for the heater off. If it is gas, turn the gas off at the shut off valve. Call your LL during business hours
