I need to construct a machine that will be able to climb a piece of string from one end of a classroom to another. (The string will be an an angle between 20 30 degrees) Each machine must have a switch, 9v battery, snap connector, and motor.I have no idea where to start with this. Help?
You have another smoke detector somewhere in your closet hidden that the batteries are going dead in. Same thing happened to me and it was a nightmare.

put in a heli-coil, then thread it back in. 20 bucks and your down the road. Heli-coil is easy to install and stronger than stock. make sure you drill and tap it straight. carry on
Go to a GM dealer and find out what they do at their shop. Might be a helicoil.
