Question:

Tire valve stuck on my bike?

Its stuck to an angle where the metal parts of the wheel block the air pump from letting it secure itself around the valve so i cant put air in, it all comes out the sides, i dont want to have to replace anything for i dont know much about bikes, but any solution to my problem? Thanks

Answer:

you will need to undo the valve and straighten up the tube, then try to pump it up again. The wosrt case seario you may need a new tube, which will only cist about $5
Take the inside valve out of the tire stem and either straighten the valve where it's bent or buy a new valve. If your valve stem cap has the raised tool to remove the valve with you won't need to buy a valve stem tool.
Let all the air out of the tube and you will be able to move the tire and tube around so that you can move to where the valve stem is poking directly out of the rim opening. Then fill it with air again. There are videos on YouTube that show how to change a tube. Watch some of those and I'm sure you will see somebody do this.
What causes the valve stem to get like that. is from riding it with an almost flat tire with very little air in it. . Let the all the air out of the tube ,. pull and tug on the tire to rotate it on the rim until the valve stem is standing strait up again. Then refill with air. But often when you ride with low air, it ends up making a hole in the tube.
