When did you get you baby/Toddler a bed?? I just want a general Idea about what age is good.
My son started climbing out of his crib at 17 months. Unfortunately I got him a toddler bed and he did very good with it for the first month then he absolutely hated it. I think he hated the vinyl matress. I wish I would of gone straight to a twin instead, the toddler bed was a total waste of money
depends on the baby they're all different, could be 18 months or 3 yrs old. good rule of thumb...if your baby is climbing out of the crib, or attempting too, it's time for a toddler bed. just be sure he/she is in a safe room, if they get up in the middle of the night or in the morning before you, you must be sure there is nothing in the room harmful to them. remember they can get into anything, so keep wires/plugs and dangerous objects out of reach, outlets covered, bathroom doors closed, etc...
i agree with kincaid and garden. my son is only 9 mos old and i wanted to get him a toddler bed (later) but once i thought about it i realized that by the time he's 2, i should just get him a twin bed. that way i don't have to worry about getting a twin bed later. kids grow so quickly, u may as well get a twin bed now. and not only that, you can get better bedspreads for the twin bed and do a cute theme for the room. the only way i would do a toddler bed would be if someone gave it to me for free.
My son went straight to a twin at 20months after climbing out of his crib and cutting open his lip. I know some parents who still have their child in a crib at 3, but I think most do it around 2. Don't forget a bed rail if you go for a twin (We knew we would have two kids, so we bought a bunk bed that separates into two twins. We put the bottom bunk in the garage for storage and use the top bunk as a regular twin because it already has a rail.)
I went straight to a twin bed for my daughter, no toddler bed. I don't think they're worth the money. I just bought her a guard you connect to the edge of the bed to keep her from rolling off . She went into that when she was right around 2 1/2.
