Danous Estenor may sound like the name of a character from a Tolkien novel, and he may look like a grizzly bear who could maul anyone who crosses his path. At 6-foot-3, 306 pounds, he probably could, actually. Off the field, though, the South Florida offensive lineman is more of the gentle giant type, more likely to channel his natural power to more productive ends — such as last February, for example, when he hulked out on a 3,500-pound car to save a man trapped underneath. From Friday‘s St. Petersburg Times:
Seeing god in everything wont help your cause. I don't think a 6 foot 3 inch, 306 lb. hulk lifting a car just enough for some guy to be pulled out is a miracle. In fact it's not the first time or the most impressive story of a car being lifted or torn open. If you're trying to convince people to believe in your god I think you need more convincing material. By giving credit to god for this, I think people are diminishing the heroic deeds of Estenor. Give him the credit. He did a great thing and god had no part in it. I think if we start giving people the credit they deserve, more people will step forward at times like this.

I remember the testimony of a young lady in a car during and the car was shot continually and she was hunkered down. her boyfriend was murdered. The other wounded much. But she wasn't hit. And the police couldn't understand why she was still alive. Since from the holes in the car, she should have been dead. So she believes it was a Mighty Angel who saved her life and kept the bullets from her.

The actual weight could have amounted to something like 800 lb., which a 300 lb. man could lift momentarily for a few seconds. That's especially true with an adrenaline surge. My mother was barely over five feet tall, but she suffered from schizophrenia. In some of he manic episodes, she demonstrated a strength that was astonishing. She once swatted a half-in. diameter steel bar aside with one hand, bending it as if it were a coat hanger. I had to use a sledgehammer to duplicate the feat. That's not to detract from the heroic rescue, but it certainly didn't require the aid of an invisible magician
