I'm building a house by myself and I want to include as many cool features that I've always wanted to have in the house as I can.For example Secret bookshelf doorway, laundry shoot, one of those floor 1 - floor 2 pulley elevators, secret compartments, fire station style doors instead of screen doors, effective rocket stove, koi pond w/ hot tub.
I'm getting ready to build very soon and have thought at length about thisYou have the popular options coveredNot sure how great you are with plumbing, but mine house will have an awesome bathroom; heated floor, steam shower, multiple shower and massage heads, Be nice to work a sauna in but I don't think I'll have the spaceI would also suggest you over wire it, with thought to the future, cat5, coax, sound ran to every room as a minimum! Depending on the area, you might wanna run alarm wire too, while the walls are openI also have plans for all the windows in the master suite and media room to have shades built in, hidden and disguised of course, to totally block out 100% of light, while also adding a little insulationI will also have a urinal!
