Question:

What are typical health and safety practices in aircraft maintenance?

I work at an aircraft overhaul facility and am just curious if the safety practices at my job are typical of other places. Is it safe to drill zinc or strontium chromate painted parts without a respirator? We are allowed to handle and drill such parts with no protection, but for grinding and sanding we must wear respirators and use bags with vacuum sanders. Nothing is required when working with sealants and chemical cleaners except for gloves, but we usually have fans going to disperse the fumes. Do these practices sound reasonable?

Answer:

Uh, what? Where are you going to run the cable part of the lock through? Cable locks are supposed to run through the part of the gun where the magazine detaches, through the hole in the gun where the spent casings are ejected. With any BB or airsoft gun, there are no spent casings to eject, which means that there generally isn't a hole to run the cable through. So no, it will not work.
okay, i went last night, it was amazing, but i can help. DONT TAKE A BAG. THEY MOST LIKELY ARENT ALLOWED. well, they weren't last night. take a change purse or wallet. dress warm, i had on a t shirt, hoodie, and jeans, and bought a ptv crew and wore it, and i stayed warm. wear shoes that will stay on, i almost lost my toms. the crowd is huge, but if you wanna be up front, and avoid moshing, pick a far side of the stage. i was on a barrier but avoided moshing there. the middle is the WORST place with moshing. and most of all HAVE FUN. it was the best time of my life, let me know how it goes for you.
