Question:

What do you think of this passage?

We were given this passage in English class and we have to make up the next part in the story and figure out where the author was going with itWhat do you think this is about? Where do you think the narrator is? Here it is:A nip in the air; the moon low, wrapped in nebulous luminescenceThe air burnt, just like it always is before it snowsSheaves of dried leaves envelop the dilapidated porch; we amble up the steep and eroded stepsA month from now the fellow on the right will have plummeted off the Arrigoni BridgeWhy was I in front? I struggle with the obdurately affixed doorCold spiders scuttle down my neckAnxiety irrigates torrents down the sides of my brow; but I pay no heed to the looks I endureLooks of contempt, were they? For what reason? We shuffle into the foyer and peerPeer at the monochromatic tile arrangement more studiously cleaned than I would have conjecturedCraned necks reveal our outsider statusWide eyes our na?veté.
