the motor is locked up, but all of the parts are there. what should i put it on craigslist for?
hey. i've had my lip pierced since mid-march, and it healed within 3 weeks. the day i got it pierced, it did not swell,nor did i get any type of growth as an effect of the piercing. what i CAN say, is that when EVER you handle a recently done piercing, i highly suggest you wash your hands,and then use an unscented purell to completely sanitize your hands. if you held your piercing for an extended amount of time, (like you did when you lost your stud) then its possible it could have gotten infected from bacteria on your hands(since you most likely didnt wash them before handling your lip). a ball of puss is called a keyloid, and that usually last about 1-2 weeks,depending on how quick your body fights it off. yes,it is most likely infected,and oral infections are the worst,considering you put things in your mouth a dozen times a day. for healing, i suggest listerine, or salt water. rinse for 20 seconds, after every meal, or acidic/carbonated drink. most places dont usually mind lip studs, theyre more concerned about tongue piercings. dont get a ring, or an obnoxiously large bar, get a fitted bar,with either a black or silver ball. if your working with food,(i.e restaurants,bars,etc.) they may be a little hard on you, whereas retail jobs, or basically anything that doesn't involve constant customer attention. places like hot topic and zumiez dont care at all what so ever. just go for an interview,and ask them if its alright if you leave your piercing in,because if they wanted it out, they would tell you. hope i helped,and keep in mind, theres THOUSANDS of job oppourtunities, so im sure youll find one that fits your lifestyle.
In similar circumstances, I've found the cause is often a failure of weather sealing on the exterior wall. Take a good close look at the flashing above those windows, and the caulking right under the sills. Any failing caulking in those two areas will admit water into the wall., which tends to pool a little inside on the framing, then gets wicked up by the paneling. Even a hairline crack can do this, so a good close look.
