I want to put music on to my micro SD card for my phone. Just wondering if the usb card reader is something you put the micro Sd card inside. Does it directly plug into your computer, or is there a USB cable that comes with it? Thanks.
It either comes with cable, or it might be size of flash drive which you just plug into USB port. Those memory card reader usually does not accept microSD cards. You need microSD to SD card adaptor which you put the microSD into and make it the size of SD card(it usually comes with microSD card when you bought microSD card, or you need to get one). Usually the phone has usb connection, and you can access data that way.
The reader can put any data onto the micro Sd but it's another matter as to if the phone can read it. I have an O2 phone that uses the extra memory for .can't remeber. but it can't read the data if I put anything on it. You are safer to use the software that came with your phone to upload the music to your phone via the usb port and cable. The software will put in a playlist and allow you to view the titles of the music you put in. Those readers are just about useless. Probably the only good thing about them is if your phone or camera breaks, you might be able to access the saved pictures or video or music.
