Question:

What is life like as an American expat in Brunei?

I am female so was wondering what types of clothes would be appropriate to bring. Will safety be an issue? Also, recommendations for top-notch serviced apartments in Brunei would be helpful. Thanks!

Answer:

It sounds good to me, but make sure you don't do it after you eat, because this only burns off the food you just ate, and makes you hungry all over again, and don't do too many of the same exercize at the same time, becuase doing to many doesn't help your body, it only wears you out, and usually you aren't doing the well, you're just rushing through. Good luck, and this sounds like a great workout routine!
I've worked in a professional recording studio for 20 years. We're always looking to get that perfect drum room. Over the years, people's preferences on the sounds of drums have changed. We've seen in the 70's a total dead sound. In the 90's a complete live sound. I prefer something in between. You can go for a mix or reflective and non-reflective materials. I like a wood floor with the walls covered in carpet about 25% up from the floor. We finished the rest of the walls in stone veneer. The only problem with wood floors is it will vibrate. Now for recording this is critical, but for just playing it's not that important. You may want to go with a reflective type floor with a thin rug under your set. Good luck. There are no rules - it's a matter of preference you will have to experiment to get the sound you are looking for
