Question:

What makes song consider metal?

I thought anything that has heavy guitar riffs, fast, insane guitar solos, double kicks, screaming, growl, heavy vibrato, would consider to be metal

Answer:

Ionization energy and Zeff. The easier it is to remove an electron, the more easily it reacts. Also, the less Zeff (the ability of the nucleus to pull the electrons towards it), the more easily it reacts. If you think about it, if the metal has a low Zeff, meaning the nucleus can not hold it tightly, it can lose the electron more easily. The most reactive metal is Francium. Anything near Francium is also pretty reactive (such as all of the 1A's).
-the number of electrons on the atoms outer shell. For example, sodium has 1 electron on its outer shell. that mean it needs to loss 1 electron to become stable so it very reactive .... magnesium has 2 electron on its outer shell which means it needs to l
