Question:

What should I give the guy I am seeing as a gift?

I've been racking my brain, and would like to get him something small, it doesn't have to be expensive. I realize asking strangers may not be much helpbut i just need some general ideas. He's very athletic, works out a lot, likes sports, is going to school for fitness., kind of a neat freak, and likes outdoors. So anyone have any idea?

Answer:

Spineless, spinelessness Sounds like a reincarnation of Dubya.
Put them in a machine washer on the casual cycle with hot water. Use extra concentrated bleach if possible. They'll look brand new!
Basically, the imperfect is for something which used to happen, and the preterite was for something that happened. This is what i do. If you can take the words 'used to' and place them before the verb in the sentence, and it doesnt change the meaning, then u use the imperfect. For example: My grandmother visited my parents regularly. My grandmother USED TO visit my parents regularly. Same thing, so we use the imperfect. I dropped the ball. I USED TO drop the ball. These two dont mean the same thing because the first is saying you dropped the ball once, the second is saying you dropped it repeatedly. Therefore you changed the meaning and so you cannot use the imperfect. That would be preterite. The imperfect is also used to describe an action which was happening, so when you get things like, was riding was walking was sleeping was reading were playing etc you use the imperfect. I hope this helps. Buena Suerte!
What have you got against someone that had to work hard to get where they are? Obama has had everything gave to him, he has never had a job where he had to work and get his hands dirty.
