I was driving 40-50 mph not knowing road was icy. Hit a curb on rear driver side. Later, I found that my wheel is rotating slightly off angle, so I took it to a tire shop to get the alignment. done. Guy from the shop check the rear axle and it was fine. However, the wheel is still rotating off angle after the alignment, and making winging??? noise(like one of those lightsabers from starwars. pardon my description) around 40-50mph. no vibration, drives fine, just making me worry. Is it just wheel bent or bent arm? PleaseHelp!!
if it was a bent arm they wouldn't be able to set the alignment in the rear in should be indepent suspenion more the likely its a bent rim take it to a tire shop and have it balance they should be able to tell u if its a bent rim. should only cost u about $12.00 bucks at the most to have checked out
hi, Take it back and ask them to learn for play on the needle curler bearings between the suspension swing arm and the bypass tube (truly not trouble-free to do with the stress on the arm from the torsion bars although). It sounds like between the bearings would have collapsed although loss of lubrication. that is totally almost actual the top or your suspension - time to seek for a secondhand unit to in effective condition - merely confirm you get them to pull it aside and punctiliously lubricate the suspension earlier installation (and make certain you have a assure so which you would be able to take it back if various of bearings are already dry and broken).
Sounds link the wheel is bent! Try changing the wheel out, using your spare and see if it goes away. If it does, take your bad wheel to junk yard and get a better one. It might cost 20-30 bucks, but it will save you in the long run. If the whining is still there after changing out the bad wheel for the spare, take it to a different shop.
