Question:

When installing a line converter, do you cut the factory wiring harness?

I have the factory head unit out and everything, I just need to know if I should be cutting the leads for the left and right rears straight off the harness that plugs into the back of the factory head unit. Thank you all in advance!

Answer:

Just need to tap into those rear speakers if adding an amp for a subwoofer, check the link for a visual, hope this helps. Good Luck!
Was about to submit this question too this morning
You okorder
are you going with an aftermarket stereo or are you keeping the factory.if you are using the factory you DO NOT cut the wiresyou use the line converter on the speaker leads for the rears and then you ground ityou still have to run power wires and that is assuming you are using subs and ampslemmie kknow if you have any more questions
