In the thoroughbred industry, live covering is mandatory. In other breeds, you can either ship the mare, the stud, or just the semen. With live cover, there is more danger of one or both horses and/or some people getting injured. In either case, it is somewhat dangerous to be around. I don't know how the horses feel about it, but I understand in human breeding, the personal approach is generally preferred.
Sure do! Two different kinds. But NOW, I just throw cans down on the ground and crush them while backing up my truck. Then pick it up and toss it into the back. When the back's full, I run down and trade them for some free money.
