Home Depot sells cooper to PVC fittings they work very well and easy to use.
If I were the judge in this case, I would throw it out because you antagonized your neighbors. In fact, your college should write you up for violation of quiet hours. During the day, when they play loud music, they are not violating any campus regulations. However, if you asked them to turn it down a little so you could study, I'm sure they would oblige. Your little stunt, on the other hand, may get you exactly what you want: your $$ beat. Anyways, depending on how you interpret their threat, it could mean that tomorrow they will play really bad music really loud if you don't open the door and speak with them to try to resolve the issue. Since they made no direct threats that can be proved, you have no leg to stand on. It would be best if you quit playing your music at 4:45am, and asked them to turn theirs down a little bit even though campus rules allow for them to play their music at that time.
