I thought the press was supposed to be unbiased???
They want ratings... in order to sell advertising...because news is a product. McCain doesn't get ratings because he is not exciting, and his supporters aren't excited to have him as their candidate. Nobody is tuning in or buying magazines to learn about McCain... That is a reflection on the way his campaign is being ran, rather than the liberal media or Obama. If I were McCain I would have already fired my campaign manager, for failing to create positive buzzzz.
An unbiased press died a long time ago. These days they are not even covert about it. They are unabashedly liberal and they don't care about trying to be fair. Fairness is an issue only when they can't get their way.
McCain is already winning. He doesn't need the LIEberal media. He has it in the bag and both McCain and Obama know it. Why do you think Obama has gone to the ME trying to get more people to vote for him? McCain doesn't need this to with. Our troops will vote for McCain no matter how much Obama lies to them.
The press has never been unbiased in this country or any other. You should do some reading on the press battles during the 1864 election and at the time of the Spanish/American war. The press goes where they think they can sell papers or other media and slant everything to match who is providing them with the most money. The Obama supporters are the richest people in the world and they own outright the majority of the worlds media outlets so why is anybody surprised that he is getting the majority of the promotion!
The press has never been unbiased. Ever heard of William Randolph Hearst? Obama is young and good looking. McCain is older. We're just seeing another example in the vein of Kennedy/Nixon. Also, the American press is by no means liberal. Compared to the news services of other countries such as the UK, the US press is extremely conservative.
