the passenger side stopped working
There's an arm,usually somewhere around the firewall,that connects the 2 wiper arms to the motor.The 1 arm probably popped off.Since I don't know what make or model vehicle you have there's no way I could tell how to get to the arm.They're all different.
The linkage between the passengers side wiper and the motor has come loose.
LOL Wipers don't have separate motors for each side. Front and back wipers do. The problem is that some of the linkage has come disconnected. Since on most vehicles the motor is on the drivers side, either both sides will quit working, or just the passenger side will quit working. If both sides quit working, it could be a number of problems. But if just the passenger side quits working, then it can only be a linkage problem.
