Question:

Will running over bottle puncture a car tire?

I ran over a bottle of beer. Will that do damage to my car tires?

Answer:

Potentially it could slash the tire. 9 time out of 10 it wont. If the tire still holds air, then chances are it didn't, but you can jack the wheel up and spin it slowly by hand and check for damage, embedded glass shards if you want.
Depends on what shape the piece of glass looked like. I've had glass puncture cheap tires due to softer rubber. Quality brand tires like Goodyear, Michelin etc. tend to hold up better to glass but really it comes down to what shape the glass was. Look at the tire and look for cuts, or pieces of glass still stuck in them. That's the only way to know.
It probably won't. Car tires are quite durable. They are tested to go over rough road conditions. Glass on the road is actually a pretty common occourance and as such they do extensive testing to make sure that the tires can handle it. Basically unless your tires already need replacing there should be no damage. The rubber on the tires is really thick, it can withstand a whole bunch. Good luck with your tires.
