i got a 2004 mazda 3, and just had to order a new passenger side windshield wiper arm for it. I thought the splines just broke/wore off of the old one, and thats why there were now splines on the inside, but the new one doesn‘t have them either.is the metal ring inside of the hole a soft aluminum that you just screw onto the gear/splines on the motor? if so, wouldn‘t that mean that i can just place that **** at any angle and **** it all up lol? if so, how do i do this correctly?i never saw a wiper arm without splines that interlock with the splines on the motor. maybe i need to get out more.
