Question:

Windshield Wipers Dont Turn Off?

My windshield Wipers DO NOT turn off on my 04‘ GMC Sierra 1500 Extended cab. I am assuming it a short in the electrical, But does any one else know what the problem can be?

Answer:

on my 99 dodge it did the same thing and it was the switch its self
Sounds like the switch may be bad. Check and see if the wipers are on a separate fuse and if they are you could pull the fuse until you can get it fixed. If you need the wipers to work just pop the fuse back in. It is a pain but at least you won't have to watch the wipers work all the time when you don't need them to work. Isn't it funny, when you use the wipers they don't bother you at all, but if they are working when you don't need them it will drive you crazy with them wiping!! It's kinda like heat and air. In the summer months when it is hot we have to have good cold air to keep cool but then when it is cold outside we have to have good hot heat to stay warm!!
