Question:

04 Crown Victoria Wipers not working?

I have an 04 Crown Vic and when I first bought the car the windshield wipers would come on and spray by their selves. Then they just quit working. We thought it could be the Switch (Turn light/wiper control) so we changed it but it still did not fix the problem. Any ideas or suggestions?

Answer:

Maybe it'll affect the steering.
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/avO5J It is illegal everywhere. And a very unsafe way about lifting the front. If you wanna be cheap, get an add-a-leaf or longer shackles.
semtex is close, what it is is the fact that the steering knuckles move there is a high risk that they'd actually push the blocks out of place, thereby causing a catastrophic failure on your steering/front end.this would result in loss of control at a minimum, and potentially death for you,a bystander,or both.mind you im not a tree hugger that hates trucks, ive owned several, some lifted. the best way to go about getting the lift you want,is to actually change the springs up front.superlift makes a complete kit for your truck (i just checked) that uses a replacement block for your rear axle, and new springs for the front.the lift system can provide up to 5 of lift, while not compromising the trucks safety.and can also maintain or even improve ride quality.
replace the wiper motor, you can also check the nut's that hold the wiper arms on,sometimes they will back off and not let the arms move at all. Just tighten them back down .,,,,,,,,,,,
are you asking about the windshield sprayers or the wipers them self. Windshield wipers most common problems burnt wiper motor or stripped wiper transmission. do you here the motor trying to work when you hit the wiper button. if yes then the wiper transmission man be shot and need to be replaced. second, do you not here the wiper motor sound when engaged. then problem may be burnt out wiper motor which needs to be replaced. windshield sprayers. do you here the sprayer motor working, that little buzzing sound when its spraying. if not then the sprayer motor could be the culprit. if you do here it, then check the nozzles where the washer fluid comes out and see if there clogged by putting a needle through it to clear it or buying new lines and nozzles which are really cheap. those would be my main suggestions
