They LOOK better, they are lighter in weight, they add value at trade in time. They are always over priced on new cars.
They usually look better. They usually come with higher performance tires (wider, and lower profile). So, if you plan totake the wheel and drive like the wind" or if you just want to project that kind of personality it would be a better choice. . Disadvantage: when they scrape they scrape ugly. It is costly to fix that kind of damage. Know this however: Upon resell, cars that have the most options (alloy wheels, sunroofs, etc.) retain a higher value.
2 things. They look better. Bling. Better that steel with plasic cover. Two exact same cars one with steel on with aluminum. The aluminum is priced higher, will sell/resell better. they are stronger and lighter, providing a small but measurable gain in performance. why would a BMW 7 series Alpina have 6000 dollar wheels? the car/buyer deserves and desires them. same answer why the VWs are availbale with about 20 wheel/tire combos.
