Question:

automatic transmission bmw?

can anyone give me a rough estimate to replace/repair the transmission on my 1995 320i bmw?,

Answer:

the cost to repair/replace the transmission on this car would be more than the car is even worth. how many miles does it have anyway tht u need a new tranmisiion?
The question really should be what my best option in dealing with a dead transmission in my 95 320i. The smartest way in dealing with this is getting a transmission thru BMW. They call this the BMW exchange program Normally I say stay away from a dealership after the free time is up. BUT in this case you have to deal with them. NO transmission shop can rebuild a BMW Automatic transmission in a way where its rebuilt to last as long as the first one did. There are way to many small electrical parts in them and no shop can replace them all with new and still keep the overall price to you in the reasonable range and the shop still make a decent profit. BMW can rebuild them right and keep the price in the reasonable range. BUT then again the transmission rebuilding companies like Bobs transmission to AAMCO are close to the top of the list of most profitable industries. A.K.A RIP OFFS
