Question:

Bass setting off smoke detector?

I was listening to music on my sound system downstairs and I could feel the bass in my feet and the air. periodically my smoke detector would beep once. Could the bass have been a cause? (Vibrations in the ceiling, idk)

Answer:

Hello again. DMZ stand for DeMilitarized Zone. It is on the border between North and South Korea. It is 250 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide. It is the most heavily militarized border in the world. You can look up Korean DMZ' and you should find a lot of information about it that could answer your questions about it. There is no way to know how far the other side could go to attack. If the South attacked, the US would probably help them, but I don't think the South is attacking anytime soon. If the North attacked, there are joint US bases in Korea that will help to stop them. You probably won't find anything calling the DMZ a speed bump. That's just what we called it when I was there. It's unofficial military terminology.
Many new smoke alarms are also combination CO (carbon monoxide) detectors. Some brands false alert quite frequently, other brands are better. It is quite possible that one of your smoke/CO detectors actually alerted to CO because it should have. If you are running any appliance that uses natural gas or propane in your home that could set it off. Dust will also set smoke alarms off as well. If it keeps happening find the detector that is malfunctioning and replace it.
Steam can set them off. They might just be dirty. Take each one down and blow them out with compressed air or those cans of cleaning air you get for your computers.
