Question:

can I protect a kitchen stove by installing a home fire sprinker over it?

If I install an either sidewall or vertical type fire sprinklercan It be installed over a kitchen stove for fire protection?please include source for reference

Answer:

yes, but probablly not for more than about 20 dollars. In four to five years, I'm sure you could get a lot more. The reason why the footage isnt vaulable to TV/Documentary people is because all of your footage and more exists in tape stock collections that they can access.
I'm assuming you've installed it correctly. Not all smoke alarms are compatible with each other. You are installing one that is not compatible with the ones you already have. Check the model numbers of the ones you already have and buy a compatible one. Or just install the new one by itself, not connected to the others. Or replace them all. The useful life of a smoke alarm is 10 years, so any alarms older than that should be replaced anyway.
