We live in an apartment and this smell is somewhat new. It almost smells like slightly burnt toast. It is not that strong but fills the main room in our apartment (barely).The heater appears to be functioning normal (turning on and off at normal rates).We called our apartment emergency number and they told us that it could be due to the cold windy conditions outside. Does that seem reasonable? Should we be concerned tonight? Our apartment does hold a smell pretty good (like from dinner).This is NOT a gas leak, I am sure!The hot water heater is one year old.We have a carbon monoxide detector.Thank you for your help!
Well you might as well get volcano insurance and then kidnapping insurance while you're at it. Having insurance is not going to save you legal problems. The fact is that if you do happen to be in a situation where you have to use your weapon, you will be arrested and taken in. This is mandatory for any situation. From there, your case will be handed over and it will be determined if any charges will be followed. If they think you can be charged, your case will go. From there it really depends. You could might face a jury or the charges may drop depending on how things go. The simply fact is it's probably better to get to know the laws. And even if you do know the laws, it doesn't apply evenly and it really depends on your age, race, what witnesses said, what you were doing, etc, etc. So many factor to really say that the law is absolute. However, if you are clearly in line of defense, you should be okay. Insurance is really just a scam. I never heard of it and to be honest no, I would not get it. I'd just study the law (they change yearly so pay attention) and just be smart about what you do.
