What do you like better, the hair metal bands or the grunge? I definitely prefer the hair metal bands cause the music was more fun and listening to those bands always puts me in good spirits :)
I am an Indonesian muslim and I, along with the big majority of muslims here, say that Islam doesn't prohibit any kind of music. We have so many kinds of Islamic music, from the traditional ones (Arab influenced) to more modern pop-rock songs. Even women can sing Islamic songs too. People who say that Islam forbid any kind of music are taking things too far. We just have to be careful that the music doesn't make us do anything immoral Islamic music, btw, doesn't mean that it has the word Allah in every sentence. It can relate to anything, the lyrics can be from one's own language, not exclusively Arabic. So, the answer is Yes, Islam and metal music can go together Islam can go together with anything. Let's not cage Islam in small place. Islam is very open to new ideas, so that it can adapt to and lead in the future.
Im Muslim and I listen to some dark Metal. Regardless if it goes together or not. I like that music. AND music is not HARAM IN islam
I listen to metal sometimes and I don't think it goes against Islam? I mean I pray and I don't miss my prayers and metal certainly doesn't make me miss my prayers. Maybe metal that talks about killing people and drowning them in blood is a bit bad, but I mean, if you listen to it and obviously don't act upon it, why not?
Of course- just write about the history of the faith and put music to it.
