Question:

Help with some tie dye instructions?

I know this is such a dumb question, but I need some VERY VERY simplified instructions on how to use tie dye.lol It's been so long, the first and only time I ever did this was when I was 10 so now its faded.anyway.Here's what I bought,- a pack of rubber bands- a single packet of purple dye- a white shirt (specifically a tank top if that changes the instructions)- a bottle to mi and squirt the dyeAnyway.there are no instructions on 'how to use' in the dye packet, just instructions on how to mix. Here is what I want,I want the tank top to be REALLY dark purple on the bottom and as it goes up I want it to get lighter.I don't really want it to swirl from the middle but I might change my mind.lolso basically I just want like step by step instructions on how I would go about doing thisthanks :D(I need like the drying and washing instructions too please)

Answer:

Dissolve the dye in very hot water in a large pot on the stoveAdd about a 1/2 cup of salt to itStir thoroughly with a stick or a metal spoon, NOT a wooden spoon that you'll want to use againYou'll need another stiff stick, large enough to set across the top of the potMake sure the top has been washed, then get it evenly wetLower it into the dye and let it simmer for 10 minutes or so, with the rest of the top draped over the stick out of the wayThen lower a little more into the dye, and in a few more minutes, more of the shirt When you pull it out, have a tray or something for it to drip into or your whole kitchen will be purple! You may want to spread aluminum foil over the stove top before you startHold the top under cold running water in the sink, sort of stroking it downwardsWhen the water runs clear, wring it out well and then rinse some moreMachine wash it by itself in cold water with a handful of salt added and just a dollop of detergent, then wash it again with just a little detergentThen machine or air dry Remember to wash it alone or with black clothes ONLY.
1depends on where you get them and the suppliesFerreets can range from anywhere between $100 and $200His cage will be an additional $50 and food is about $10Toys and bedding may vary in pricesI suggest getting ferret sprayIt helps control the smell2You need to watch him and don't take him outside without a ferret harness and perferably a leashThey'll sleep a lot so he will need a hammockAlso be very careful if you have any other animalsHe could very well win a fight against a small dog or catAlso he'll eat guinea pigs, rats, and other small animals3Bathe him once every monthHe'll swim around and it looks soooooo funny! You'll get a few laughs if he wants to stay in the bath tubbe sure the door is shut 4yes, but only becasue the latch wasn't properly securedThey are sneaky! My ferret just plopped down on my bed and fell asleep on my pillowFerrets are very social animalsMaybe you should get more than one? They are carnivores and will eat meat that you give themAlso they can be fast and slippery, so watch out he doesn't get up a tree or slide between a fenceFerretes don't chew much, so chew sticks are unneededCheck craigslist for discounted ferrets that need a new homemore often than not, they will come with a cage and all its supplies at a fraction of the costI hope i helped! Good luck!
