Question:

How can I transfer all of my data to a new ps3 without an ethernet cable?

Im getting a new ps3 and i deleted all the stuff for PlayStatio Home so i cant play it at all now so im wondering if i can get all my data and stuff on my new ps3 just by signing in to my account or do i have to use the erhernet cable

Answer:

You have to use an ethernet cable. You should already have one. The accounts on your old PS3 don't automatically get deactivated, you need to do it yourself. Everything will transfer over. Any copy-protected data, like some gamesaves and videos purchased from the PS Store, will be removed from your old PS3 after they are copied onto the new one. Read this thoroughly before you start and follow the instructions exactly: manuals.playstation /document/ ransferutility.html
