I have an unfinished basement. Dont want to spend a lot of money,but I also dont want it to look bad. I do plan on finishing it down the road.

Since the car doesnt have the idiot system and when you hit the brakes it locks it up. when your front tires are locked up you cant steer although you have it fully cranked. when you hit the brakes and you cant turn let off the brakes and let the wheels free but still having brake pressure. not enough to lock up the brakes. some say pump the brakes but some people go overboard and hit the brakes heavily over and over again but that doesnt work. All in all, when the brakes lock up, let off a little bit until your still braking but can steer, DO NOT hesitate and keep em locked up
The heavy metal pigments in paints are so well encapsulated in the oil, they are not hazardous to breathe, unless you are spraying them. Cadmium, cobalt and lead cannot penetrate your skin as the molecules are too large, but keep your brushes out of your mouth and you should be fine. You really need to eat a lot of paint before you accumulate enough metal in your system to make you ill! You can switch to synthetic pigments if the poison sign alarms you - many of the hazardous heavy metals have synthetic counterparts. Ventilation is needed if you are using turpentine or other thinners. Otherwise, there are no fumes from oil paint except the smell of linseed oil which is non-toxic. A note on synthetic thinners - odorless thinners are made from petroleum, and just because you can't smell them, it doesn't mean you aren't breathing the fumes. Also, many orange-based thinners contain d-limonene, a product that has been linked to health problems. If the idea of thinners scares you, just wipe the paint from your brushes and clean them with baby oil or vegetable oil - these will wash off with detergent and water.
Capture it on UV sensitive film or equipment
If Studded snow tires are legal, they give much better traction on ice. But they are illegal in some areas.
