Question:

How to install a warm air intake?

On a 01 Honda Civic. Or if you can reference a website and potential intakes worth buying. Thanks!

Answer:

Im assuming your talking about a short ram intake which is located by the exhuast headers. Its not called a warm air intake but yes it does suck up warm air. Get a cold air intake if your not scared of sucking up water and hydrolocking, also you can get a bypass valve for your cold air to prevent that. So my advice get the cold air.
Take the stock intake box off and put the warm air intake on. Other than a few bolts and screws it's all plug and play and doesn't take more than 10 minutes. I have a KN Typhoon on my 2001 Civic Coupe and it still (after 100,000 miles) is still in great condition with Original filter. While I didn't notice a power increase (I never have with just an intake) I love the sound and my gas mileage went up by at least 2 MPG.
Why would you want a warm air intake? Warm air is less dense compared to cooler air so it does nothing for perfomance. Your mileage may increase very slightly ( not enough to recoup the cost ) but that would be the only benefit.
