So, a little while ago I wanted to bake cookies. I checked inside the oven to see if there was anything (pots, pans), but did not notice that there was aluminum foil over the burner thing. I set the dial to bake and prepared my cookies.After about 5 minutes, I could smell something terrible, like a fire. I opened the oven and saw the aluminum melting creating that smell. I quickly turned it off, took out the aluminum, and left the oven open to cool off.Just then I realized what if that was actually a fire. I honestly would have no idea what to do. So what would I have to do in order to stop a fire assuming it was small and easily controllable?

What I'd do is buy a pair of safety googles online because that's where you'll find the nicest ones, and in the mean time while you wait for them to be shipped, buy a pair of the average safety goggles, which aren't too expensive, from the hardware store to last you until your good ones arrive. Otherwise you'll probably find them (as I mentioned above) at your local hardware store, but I'd predict that they wouldn't be as good as the ones you can order online. So if you don't mind having a pair of not so good quality ones to last you those few weeks of shipping, then I'd definitely buy online.
