there are no speed bumps at the entrance to the apartment community, but they exist everywhere else on the property. The entrance is a long stretch of road, and people fly through here. Management doesn't seem to care, and doesn't take my requests for speed bumps seriously. I want to start a petition, and word it such that people won't be afraid to sign it. Thanks.
Running the water out of the heater tank through a faucet isn't going to solve the problem. You need to drain the water tank using the drain valve on the bottom of the tank. First turn off the main water supply to the tank, then attach a garden hose to the drain valve and let it drain down the sink or outside. Once it has been drained turn on the water supply and let the water flush thru the tank for a few minutes. Then close the drain valve, disconnect the hose and let the tank fill back up. It will take a few hours for the water to get hot, but it should be fine after that. In the small town that I live in the city will do it for you free of charge. You may want to make a call first..
Commercial rubber roofing is best.
sheet metal roof is great regardless of pitch or application. It can be used for both industrial and home/office buildings and is available in almost any color you can think of. the only minus is that the material itself has no sound-deadening qualities.
We have a steel metal roof. Couldn't be happier with it! It comes in any color you could possibly want! We have gray. Our son has brown. Our neighbor has red. This type roof is very popular around here. We have very long winters and the snow just slides right off. Never have any build up.
The best around is an .060 rubber sheet. You can purchase cut to length and simply glue down with contact adhesive to plywood or insulation board. I have a flat roof, about 6 inch of fall in 20 feet. Got tired of those leaks, and the shrinkage in the modified bitumen which is a huge problem along the edges. I installed the entire roof myself in sections. My house has 4000 sq feet of roof. First i nailed down the insulation, then i had it boomed up to the roof. Rolled it out, let it relax , then put down the contact cement with a roller. onto the insulation board and backside of the rubber. the rolled it back. Exactly almost like laying carpet. The edges are trimmed by pulling over and an alumium strip used with stainless screws.I used .060 Firestone rubber bought it in proper width, cut to exact length i wanted. Guaranteed for 30 years. The seams are easy to make too. They have a tape and primer, put on primer, roll out tape, roll back rubber and thats about it. Speaking from experience here, Would never ever use any tar product again.
