It is the car alarm kit. When you buy it, it usually comes bundled with door actuators. It is rigged in such a way that all is connected into the main alarm system. When you press arm in the remote, it arms the alarm and at the same time locks all 4 doors. You will know this when you hear one chirping sound and you will see either your headlights or signal lights flash once, depending on how they installed it. Disarming it, you will usually hear 2 chirping sounds, and the lights will flash for a few seconds. Alarms usually come with a panic button. Pressing this will emit a continuous noise therby alerting everybody around. This usually lasts for a few minutes.
