Question:

Incubation for leopard gecko tips?

I am going to breed my leos and I've studied A LOT. I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions. here are my questions: Perlite or Vermiculite? Where can I get on of the thermometers that have a wire you put in the vermiculite/perlite and the thermometer part sticks out of the incubator? Where can I get a cheap reptile incubator? What should the humidity be in the egg box? What should the temperature be in the perlite or vermiculite? How to make a incubator with a foam food temperature box (saw a lot of people do this on you tube if I can't get an incubator I'll make one)?

Answer:

Both are natural minerals expanded by heating, but with slightly different properties: Perlite is said to improve aeration and drainage, whereas vermiculite holds water better. As in most gardening subjects, each gardener will have their own preferences.
There really isn't much difference. They are used as cheap filler, both expand when heated, both are natural, and they both help retain water.
Basically spelling and pronunciation and inflection.. Same product Tomayto, Tomahto.
