I used to have verizon DSL and we moved, so I had to change my service to comcast high speed internet. Well now I have no local internet connection in my network connections. They said I need a new ethernet card, but my DSL worked for 3 years, and I also had comcast high speed internet before that. I have windows xp. Any ideas??? This is making me crazy haha.
Go into the control panelsystemhardware tab and and get into device manager. From there find your network adapter and right click on in and update the driver. The Network driver was lost somehow. Windows should put it back. Then hook up the cable modem and router as normal.
