Which suspension is luxurious and comfort.
Both have air suspension. The Discovery system has the ability to change height according to conditions. It allows you to drop it for easy access. When driving it has an off road height by this has a limit of 30MPH for stability reasons. On the highway at over 50MPH the suspension drops to improve aerodynamics. If the car becomes stranded the system will automatically select extra extension to try to get the car off. The Discovery is designed for both on road and off road use. The Mercedes is only on road really and you have to get the off road kit for any off road use. The Discovery uses a well tested and proven system as Land Rover have been using air suspension for many years now.

I agree they are completely 2 different vehicles where the land rover can have different suspension settings but is more built for off roading and rocky roads. My neighbor has a GL450 and I have never seen a speck of dirt on it. In short land rover is more of the wild, adventure type while the mercedes is more comfortable and luxurious.
