Hi. I have a Toshiba laptop since September 2007, not sure about the model - could be L40. Lately it won't charge properly. When I plug it in, the orange light doesn't come on right away and I have to wiggle it about and twist the wire. Tonight when I plugged it in, nothing happened at all. I tried the usual twisting the wire etc but still nothing. Is it the laptop or the charger? Also where would I get a new charger and how much would one cost? Thanks in advance. :)
It could be a problem with the ac adapter, the wire, the power plug on the laptop or even the battery which isnt charging anymore.
You have a bad power jack on the motherboard
it sounds as though your connection at the laptop has gone bad,it happens after a period of using a long time with the AC pluged in,gets to hot is one reason,to get it fixed you will mist likley send it back to the factory.or get a good repair person who knows how
