our basement bathroom hasnt been used in 20 years cause the toilet waste pipe needs to be replaced. Only thing is, its buried in the concrete basement floor.if you look at the amazingly detailed picture i drew:

listen Zone Alarm is the best fireware so far, so i'll tell u what happened .. u said u r using a public network , so most likely they r trying to block ur IP , maybe u r using there network for downloading heavy media , or something , so what u get is there IP address , and if u r living in the same aria of ur work so probably it's the same server , so it's the same IP address .. that is my idea. so no it is not fake alarm
The others are right. I have a heat pump, too, and the same thing happens. It is just dust burning off the heating element when the emergency heat turns on. This usually only happens when the temperature drops near freezing and the heat pump is unable to extract warmth from the outside air (which is what makes it different from a regular furnace, the AC function of a heat pump is the same as a regular AC unit, it's heating function is basically a reverse of air conditioning, until the emergency heat is needed).
