Question:

Substitute worsted weight for acrylic yarn?

Hi there! I found a great pattern for a sling purse that calls for acrylic yarn, but I only have worsted weight, would it be ok to substitute? I'm not even sure how acrylic is differentThanks for any advice!

Answer:

She retiredSo unless the East Room has become a retirement center for old reporters, she is not at the White House any moreBut despite her comments and I disagree with what she said and especially the way she said it, I think there should be some way to at least commemorate her 50 years in the White House Press CorpsThat might never be duplicatedAnd she has been a good reporter despite this final outburst, when she is nearly 90 years oldI don't know what other things she has said or not said over the years, but I hope these comments, while very wrong, are not her final legacy after 50 years.
I think you may have the definations mixed upAcrylic is a fiber content and worsted weight is a thickness of yarnI bet the worsted weight yarn is acrylicMost inexpensive yarns such as Red Hart and Caron's brand are acrylicHope this helps
