Take it to 3 different body shops, they will give you estimates and you can get an average or pick one to use.
the alarm panel is designed to seize the phone line when the alarm drops. The phone jack is a special jack, it is called an RJ31x (RJ35) and has shorting bars built into the jack so when you plug in, everything goes thru the alarm first. If you wire thru the RJ31, you do not need a dedicated line. If you change this configuration and if there is a fire and the alarm goes not work, your insurance can be canceled.
did you try adjusting the steering box ? there is a nut you loosen and then you turn the stud down in to take the slack out of the steering or back it out for more slack ! after you get it where you want it then hold the stud and tighten the jam nut !
