This is a common problem unless you've fiddled with your settings a bunch. Do the following: triple tap (tap with three fingers) on the middle of the screen (or any part that isn't the lock bar on the bottom or the time bar on the top of the screen). This should zoom out. To fix the problem (prevent a repeat) go to settings, general, accessibility, and turn Zoom to off.
