i have an 89 gmc an i wanted to know what are good things to put on it against water for the cables and some other things that will protect it that are cheap jeje *my 2nd car* i want to go all over the place with it btw im 15years old it has a rancho suspension kit is it good?
everybody has different views on sticks.everybody is different.im 6'0 and have a powerful slapshot.id go with the warrior dolomite spyne.carbon fiber based One-piece design offers a lower kickpoint for quicker puck release resulting in a harder shot Length and geometry of the taper has been modified Design reduces slop increasing shot loading capacity and speeds the reaction time of the shaft High Density blade core combines high impact epoxy with microstrands of carbon fiber Spyne structure on the back of the blade acts like a spring, loading energy into the heel of the blade. Releases energy faster with more control and accuracy. Reduces blade torque and reduces weight. The shape of the SPYNE controls the direction and flow of energy from the toe of the blade into the heel.its overall a really good lightweight stick but it'll cost ya some good change about 150-200
I would suggest using shrink wrap. They are things that you can buy at the parts store. It goes over the wires and then heat it up with a flame and it molds itself around the wire .
wow depart from the normYou dont need to protect wires u need to protect splices. used to be several products made for just that purpose. they were essentially clear coat paint made specifically for plastics. I would think more info would be needed. if you are talking subemerging the truck in water than i would suggest liquid tape If your talking about occasional moisture than i would suggest an occasional dose of wd40. It could go both ways or maybe in another direction. About the rancho suspension that is also another one that needs more infodaily driver or beat the hell out of it on the weekend it is a good suspension but has quirks at times.
go for the double d. that thing is dirty.
Dielectric Silicon grease should be used on the spark plug wires and any other plug that is able to get wet. It should also be used on all of the light bulb sockets and the trailer wires on the back of the truck. Also any and every plug and socket you can find under the truck and under the hood everywhere. It should also be re-applied at least once or twice a year to make sure you are protected. You should also lift your distributor cap and spray the inside of it with silicon spray or WD-40 to keep the moisture out and run a bead of that good old dielectric grease around the base of the cap in the groove that it sits in. Rancho suspension systems are fine if you are lifting the vehicle just a few inches, their taller lifts tend to be stiff and a little bit harsh on the driver but they are the best priced units on the market and the easiest to find replacement parts for in a pinch. I have used a few of their systems and been happy with them all. Sounds like you are a car guy like me since you are already on your second car at 15. I had 2 cars before I got my drivers license too.
