My friend and I are doing a powerpoint about quartz for our class. We would like to add a section with the question: What are some unique characteristics about quartz?
You are probably tired of looking through stacks and stacks of projects on woodworking in magazines and books of all kinds for some instructions on how to do a certain project. It would be so easy when you do not have to paw through all kinds of old magazines but have it right there at your fingertips.
Quartz is heavy and requires a lot of maintence granite is much less and is easier to maintain
granite has been in style for quite some time, but quartz is moving up. Soon, granite will be out of fashion and quartz will be in.
Both are wonderful and will add value to any home. You will have less maintenance with the quartz. Granite has to be sealed and you need to only clean using phBalanced stone cleaner only (to prevent stripping off the sealer). The maintenance is not as bad as it sounds, but it is important to know up front. Look at quartz and granite to see which you prefer. There isn't much price difference between the two and both are extremely durable.
